The incredible tale of Brisbane in 2019 has continued with the young side tied for first with three weeks left in the season after defeating the Western Bulldogs to end Round 20.
The Bulldogs were made to rue some costly misses as the Lions fought hard in the final quarter and didn’t allow the visitors to come from behind to win it.
Chris Fagan’s side is now level on 14 wins with Geelong and West Coast with three home and away rounds left.

There were no late changes for either side.
The Lions led by 22 points at quarter-time with the Bulldogs butchering opportunities both in front of goal and in the lead-up.
The visitors were well on top of the midfield battle in the second term but again couldn’t make it count on the scoreboard, trailing by 29 at the long break.
Brisbane then broke away from the Dogs in the third quarter with an incredible Daniel Rich kick setting up Charlie Cameron’s third goal of the night. They led by as many as 43 points.
There was an injury concern for the hosts late in the third term with Dayne Zorko having his hamstring iced on the bench.
The Bulldogs surged in the latter half of the term, bringing the margin back to 17 points at the final change.
But they couldn’t get over the top of the hosts in the end.
