NASA Orion rocket engines tested ahead of 2024 manned moon mission – Daily Mail

The test (left), conducted at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, proves that the Orion capsule is up to the task of launching astronauts into temporary orbit if the second stage rockets below it fail. Orion sits atop Nasa’s Space Launch System (artists’ impressions top and bottom right).
